On behalf of the officers and members of Oberlin Baptist Church, I welcome you to our Internet Place of Worship. We know there are dozens of other ministry web sites you could chosen to visit; so we are honored that you chose to stop by and take the time to see what the Lord is doing at Oberlin Baptist. Over 126 years ago, our founding fathers who believed in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost; decided there was a need to erect a house of worship and to bring 2 communities of faith together. So in the spirit of humility, desiring to keep the peace; they took properties from two churches and members from two churches and became one body. The aim I believe was to reach the masses, provide a place of refuge and solace; and to create an environment where the spirit of the Lord would abide and the Great Commission could be achieved. Since the Church is still here after 126 years; I would say they were successful in their efforts; and we will endeavor to continue the legacy handed down to us. This will be accomplished by being meek and lowly, with patience and in love with one another; ever striving to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.As you visit our web site; we thank you for spending some time to find out about what God is doing at Oberlin Baptist Church.
